Accreditation can include Wider Key Skills, City and Guilds Profile of Achievement, two-day Start Yachting and five-day Competent Crew courses.

Growing with the programme.

An important element of Sea-Change is the graduated system of programmes to suit all levels of interest. The entry level programme is of one or two days duration and can be for up to twelve people including your staff. It is designed for clients who wish to test the appropriateness of the vehicle for their work, see how they like it, or simply undertake a short trip for pleasure. It can enable selection for short residential programmes of up to a week for up to eight people including your staff. Accreditation is available.  These programmes demand a degree of commitment to recording individual achievement each day and are for groups who are formed although this may be their first sailing trip.  Extended accreditation programmes can be tailor-made for clients graduating from other programmes who will work direct with Sea-Change staff in small numbers (typically four) for periods of up to four weeks with shore leave.

Evidence of learning will be collected each day, by as many media as possible. This will not be a question purely of paperwork although each young person will be helped to keep a portfolio up to date.  There will be extensive use of cameras, both by the staff and by young people, and sound recording may be used.

Sea-Change will arrange verification and award of accreditation wherever possible and where this has been planned.
